My world has always been filled with the scent of hay and horses.
I grew up on a large farm in southern Sweden, where horses weren’t just part of life — they were the very heartbeat of our family. My parents and I lived in one house, and my grandparents lived in another, right there on the farm — a true family haven built around our shared passion.
Back then, my grandfather wasn’t just one of Europe’s largest horse dealers and a pioneer in importing; he was a man of unique warmth and integrity, qualities that drew people to him and created a legacy that is still remembered today — a legacy I strive to honor.
Some of my fondest memories are of accompanying him to the grand horse fairs. Imagine thousands of horses, the air electric with vibrant energy, and the shared joy of the trade — those experiences didn’t just create memories; they ignited my lifelong passion.
Becoming a devoted "horse girl" from a young age felt completely natural.
My first ponies weren’t just pets; they were partners. Every spare moment was devoted to training, building that special bond, and feeling the thrill of competition. My first pony, Starlight, marked the true beginning of this lifelong journey.
Competing at the age of nine, tackling my first 1.50m class at sixteen — each milestone wasn’t just an achievement, but hard-won experience that laid the foundation for my expertise.
At eighteen, eager to broaden my horizons, I took my first job abroad in Germany with Hilmar Meyer. Even becoming a mother at twenty-four to my son, Kjell (named after my grandfather, who sadly passed away just before his birth), didn’t pause my dream. In fact, with two-month-old Kjell in tow, I took a leap of faith — flying five horses to Florida’s prestigious Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington. Successfully selling them all fuelled my ambition even further.
At twenty-five, I returned to Sweden and fulfilled another dream: buying a large farm where I built a thriving sales and training stable, mentored students and competed across Europe.
Meeting my first Turkish friends and riders at twenty-eight opened a new chapter.
It was more than friendship — it sparked a deep love for Türkiye. I was drawn to the warmth of the people, the vibrant culture and the incredible potential I saw here. There was a spirit, especially around beautiful Izmir, that resonated deeply and inspired a new vision — a place where all my passions could come together.
Today, Izmir is home for me and my four children, but the dream doesn’t stop there.
After years of planning, my lifelong journey — built on family heritage, international experience and a deep love for horses — is now taking shape through the creation of Hoof Equestrian Country Club.
We are proud to launch with not just one, but two premier locations: one in the amazing area between Izmir and Cesme, Türkiye, and another in the sun-drenched elegance of Marbella, Spain.
Both locations share the same vision: to create world-class equestrian centers where horses and riders thrive together in an atmosphere of excellence, passion and camaraderie.
Each club reflects its unique setting — the warm, welcoming spirit of Izmir and the cosmopolitan charm of Marbella — but at their core, they are united by one philosophy: a relentless dedication to quality, care and connection.
At Hoof Equestrian Country Club, we are not just building stables — we are creating homes.
Homes for horses, riders and families who believe in the power of partnership, tradition and innovation. Together with my dedicated team, we are committed to offering the very best in horse breeding, training, competition and community.
This is a future we are building with heart and soul — honoring the past, celebrating the present, and shaping a bright, global future for the next generation of equestrian excellence.
